Lessons in persistence from The Doctor
August 10, 2013
Acting is a lifestyle similar to writing in many ways, not least in fickleness.
The New Doctor, Peter Capaldi, echoes something I have come to learn about writing.
“What I’ve learnt being an actor is that you’ve got to be lucky.”
But his tale also bears out the more often quoted adage – that persistence & patience are required to “make it”.
Doctor Who Peter Capaldi had no work or money eight years ago – now he has his dream job.
I am both delighted and inspired.
